Set up over 40 years ago, the French School of Maputo, which became the Lycée Gustave Eiffel and then the Lycée Français International Gustave Eiffel, is part of a long tradition of French-style education in a multilingual and multicultural environment, weaving strong links with Mozambique and promoting a true openness to the world.
At the Lycée Français International Gustave Eiffel, you will find a complete curriculum approved by the French Ministry of Education from Kindergarten to the end of secondary school. It is an integral part of the AEFE network (Agency for French Education Abroad), a unique educational network in the world made up of 535 schools in 139 countries.
In a pleasant and well-equipped environment, our school offers quality teaching and educational facilities that enable students to engage in demanding learning programmes that promote their personal development. An international Portuguese section is open from CP (Grade 1) to 3ème (Grade 9) (then progressively to Terminale – Grade 12). Numerous projects (linguistic, sports, scientific, cultural and artistic) developed locally, and the personal involvement of pupils in the life of the school, enable them to develop skills and experiences that will be useful for their future lives. The AEFE network’s own educational schemes, which encourage meetings with students from other schools, further strengthen the feeling of belonging to this global network and enable students to enhance their skills.
