Extracurricular activities

The extracurricular activities (périscolaire) include some twenty activities and more than 300 pupils who take part in at least one activity outside school time!

Extracurricular activities are offered to pupils from the Moyenne Section of kindergarten to the Terminale year group, all year round, after school, on our premises. Optional and reasonably priced, they are accessible to all. There are many possibilities: in French or Portuguese, sports, cultural or artistic activities, language workshops, homework help or day care.

Depending on their age, your children can try chess, circus arts, capoeira, karate, robotics, art, singing, gymnastics, football, basketball, to name but a few!

We promote autonomy from an early age, diversity, openness and tolerance. A pupil can join an activity whatever their level, beginner or advanced. What matters to us is their progress, the boost in confidence and self-esteem.

We prepare and accompany our students to inter-school sports competitions organised locally: football and basketball tournaments, annual festivals of the Mozambican Gymnastics Federation, as well as tournaments of the Mozambican Rugby Federation.

Our teams also regularly participate in the major federative meetings of the AEFE network of schools in the Southern and Eastern Africa and Indian Ocean zones. In recent years, we have represented our school in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Nairobi and Madagascar.

We also organise and host international school tournaments, such as robotics in 2014 and rugby in 2018.

The extra-curricular activities take place over the academic year in two slots of 12 and 22 weeks. You will be informed by email, at the beginning of each period, of the programme of activities and the registration procedures, all of which are computerised. The extra-curricular team will do their best to include in its programme activities that may be suggested by our students. So come and tell us what you would like to see!
