Cambridge English Certification at LGE, via our partnership with Mozambique’s official Cambridge English Exam Centre (Instituto de Linguas), means we currently offer the following English proficiency exams in our school:
For collège – Lycée students (obligatory in seconde if not taken previously) since 2017
Cambridge First Certificate in English for Schools (B2)

A B2 First for Schools qualification shows that students can:
- communicate effectively face to face, expressing opinions and presenting arguments
- write clear, detailed English, expressing opinions and explaining the advantages and disadvantages of different points of view
- follow the news
- write letters, reports, stories and lots of other types of text.
A B2 First for Schools qualification shows that a student has the language skills they need to communicate in an English-speaking environment, and gain a valuable qualification that is accepted worldwide.
For primary students (Cycle 3 – CM1/CM2/6eme) – since 2021
Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners. These tests introduce children to everyday written and spoken English and are an excellent way for them to gain confidence and improve their English.
There’s no pass or fail – every child gets a Cambridge English certificate which celebrates their achievements.
